Technical Security Screening and Training
All new job applicants voluntarily undergo an intensive security screening carried out by an approved specialist company. Only after the formal report is received is the employment confirmed. During this probationary period, new staff have restricted or supervised access to facilities and systems. During their first week new starters receive intensive Induction Training and receive Health & Safety instruction from the company’s Health & Safety Officer.
The Bunker operates an internal training scheme that addresses the needs of all staff at every level. At interview, new starters are assessed by senior technical and network staff to ascertain the level of knowledge and expertise of each individual. This information is recorded into The Bunkers training database at both an individual and departmental level.
Much of the training is done ‘on the job’ and handled by senior Bunker personnel and approved Technical and Security Consultants associated with The Bunker.
All topics are covered several times and a formal testing procedure is then carried out in order to confirm that the trainee or new employee is competent in the appropriate topic(s).
As a member of staff’s level of knowledge and expertise increases then so does their seniority within the organisation and they progress onto more intensive areas of training.
The Bunker treats the development of its staff extremely seriously and the progress achieved is discussed at monthly operations meetings.
By providing a solid training platform to all staff, The Bunker can be sure that the needs of our clients are totally managed and that the aspirations of our work force remains high.
