The Bunker owns and manages 2 carrier neutral Ultra* secure Data Centres. Both facilities are ex military establishments used by the MOD and the US air force (for more information download our Greenham Common Bunker factfile), as command and control centres during the cold war. Over the past 5 years, The Bunker have invested heavily in these facilities to modernise the infrastructure bringing them up to the very high specification needed to support the demanding requirements of today’s IT infrastructure.

Both facilities are outside the high risk London zones located in Newbury and Kent. In addition to the multiple onsite ISPs, carriers and telcos, the sites are connected to each other and the Internet by our own MPLS enabled, fully resilient, redundant, multi-homed gigabit network. Both sites have technical and security staff on site to manage the varying needs of our growing list of clients including some of the most security conscious organisations in the world. Our clients are both large and small and include financial services giants such as Scottish Widows, IT companies such as Nominet, Capita and Active Office and web trading businesses such as Ace Fancydress and Asperity. Many government bodies also keep their critical infrastructure within our facilities using varying levels of security and support services.
