BSI goes underground with The Bunker

The Bunker providers of Ultra* Secure Data Centres and Managed Services, was recently visited by Robin Pilcher, Global Marketing Director of BSI as he presented them with their ISO 27001 certificate. The presentation took place at The Bunker’s secure facility in Ash on the 15th May.

ISO 27001 represents the only auditable international standard to define the requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). The Bunker, with the help of Teamwork IMS (www.teamworkims.co.uk) spent over 18 months working tirelessly to ensure the highest standards of information security are developed and maintained.

Robin met with Peregrine Newton, The Bunker CEO and the rest of the team at The Bunker and was treated to a tour around The Bunker’s imposing facilities. Peregrine commented; “Following all our hard work we were thrilled to meet Robin and receive our certificate.  We spent a lot of time and effort working toward achieving ISO 27001. As the only globally recognised standard we wanted to obtain this to demonstrate to everyone that we use industry-respected best practices - ultimately ISO 27001 is a management standard and I am proud that our company has attained the very highest standards required to achieve this accreditation. Bunker customers can feel more confident than ever that their information is being protected.”
