The Bunker advances its strategic partnership with NTL to deliver high power data centre colocation in Kent
12th March 2008
The Bunker Ultra* secure data centre and managed hosting provider, today announces a continued deepening of its strategic partnership with one of the UK's leading providers of IP solutions, NTL. NTL have made a significant further investment in the partnership by digging in fibre into the Ash facility. This provides yet another completely resilient route to POPS in London, complimenting the ever growing number of providers now available from the Ash facility.
Through the strategic partnership with NTL, The Bunker can now offer its clients an even greater range of high speed fully redundant fibre links from its secure underground Ash colocation facility back to key data centres in London, allowing clients to select specific network providers or link into their IP networks with minimal effort or cost.
Over 100km’s of new fibre and NTL’s approach allows flexibility both in terms of the services taken and the scale of the infrastructure, so providing a very cost-effective solution for companies of any size. Even though the collaboration between The Bunker and NTL only began quite recently, the partnership has already secured new clients in both its Ash and Newbury data centres.
Simon Neal, Director of Data Centre Services, commented: "It was clear from the start of this relationship that there was a strong demand for high power secure data centre space outside of London with low-cost, redundant high capacity secure network links back to existing data centres in London. We're therefore delighted that we are able to offer our clients these strategic services through such partnerships. The success we've already seen from this partnership clearly illustrates that these services are what our clients are looking for and that NTL has the capability to deliver them."
