Ben Laurie
Director of Security Ben Laurie is acknowledged as one of the foremost security computer experts in the world. He is the creator of Apache-SSL – the web’s de-facto secure web server application and a core team member of OpenSSL, the world’s most widely used cryptographic library. He is author of ‘Apache: The Definitive Guide,’ is a founding director of Apache Software Foundation (ASF) and the Head of the ASF Security Team. Ben contributes regularly to the security industry’s key forums, groups and conferences.
He is a key member of FIRST (http://www.first.org/), the recognised global leader in security incident response; as well as a contributor to Black Hat Europe (http://www.blackhat.com/), a leading industry think tank that brings together the corporate, security and IT communities to provide continuous visibility of the newest vulnerabilities, defense mechanisms, and security trends.
