G-Cloud Services
G-Cloud is a government initiative designed to make it easier for government and public sector organisations to access and outsource IT Services.
The G-Cloud framework is an agreement between the government and service suppliers and is divided into 3 categories:
• Cloud hosting, for example content delivery networks or load balancing services
• Cloud software, for example accounting tools or customer service management software
• Cloud support, for example migration services or ongoing support
This government-led procurement service can be accessed online via the G-Cloud Marketplace; a comprehensive database of pre-approved providers of IT, cloud and managed services vendors that have been cleared to provide their services to the public sector.
