Public, Hybrid and Multi Cloud

Our Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure managed service practise is the natural evolution of The Bunker’s decade-long mission to bring industry leading security and service to as many customers as possible.

We have been delivering full stack managed solutions to our clients from our own ultra-secure facilities since our inception. Our approach spans secure, resilient and high-performance design, cost-optimised build and deployment using modern practices and customer and compliance focused operation of infrastructure, operating system and application runtime.

Is it right for me?

Public Cloud providers are sometimes the only cost-effective approach to dealing with burst workloads where capacity cannot be easily predicted in advance.

Additionally, the “Big 3” providers invest heavily in developing bespoke services such as machine-learning, next-generation database, image and speech recognition and video transcoding that would be cost-prohibitive for smaller companies to implement themselves and may have no commercially available alternative.

If these are the types of problems you are trying to solve and integrate into your IT environments and you don’t want the cost and distraction of developing your own operational capability – talk to The Bunker.

Public Cloud democratises access to the infrastructure capabilities of the world’s biggest tech companies. However, infrastructure is just one ingredient in a successful customer outcome; The Bunker have decades of experience delivering full stack managed services and are excited to include public cloud services to our existing infrastructure portfolio.

Why buy from The Bunker?

From years of experience managing client platforms, we understand that our customer’s provide value through the applications and services which they provide to their end-users. Every minute spent building, operating and securing their infrastructure is a minute less delivering the features and innovation that their customers want and expect.

The Bunker’s Managed Services hosted on Public Cloud extends the security best-practices of tech giants up the stack to your virtual-machines, operating system and application runtime. The trust and service we offer allows our clients’ to focus on their applications without distraction.

How Public, Hybrid and Multi Cloud works

Here at The Bunker, our approach is to listen to, and understand, your requirements. Our team can support you at differing stages of cloud adoption, from initial workload assessment and migration, to optimisation and automation for improved efficiency and agility. This collaborative attitude means that we can recommend an approach that suits your business needs, and work with you to deliver a successful outcome.

How do the different cloud options work?

Public Cloud: solutions targeting a single cloud provider can take advantage of the full catalogue of cloud-specific services, using native tools such as Azure Resource Manager and AWS CloudFormation templates.

Multi Cloud: leveraging the advantages of different cloud platforms and technologies to support segregated yet interconnected applications in a manner that supports agility, cost optimisation, compliance and security.

Hybrid Cloud: cloud-neutral provisioning tools like terraform and cross-cloud, federated container-orchestration with Kubernetes promise a single source of truth for configuration of platforms that enable workload portability between multiple cloud providers.

Multi and Hybrid Cloud architectures can be facilitated through the use of AWS Direct Connect and Azure ExpressRoute, privately interconnecting public cloud resources with services hosted at The Bunkers’ ultra-secure data centres.
